While unemployment and disability can provide a small safety net, recovering from an injury can be financially devastating. When one of our employees at Build.com was left disabled for a short period of time, we took it upon ourselves to help out with a fundraiser.
We raised funds by selling slices of pizza with support from a local restaurant, we also had an employee ran car wash, a the main attraction – the opportunity to dunk your boss.
Slices of pizza, dirty California cars, and taking nasal hits of intensely chlorinated water wasn’t the worst way to spend a few hours helping out a fellow employee.
