Ever since I realized that I was going to die, I became a bit of a freak about understanding more about my body.  I don’t mean that I am dying at a rate faster than anyone else, but just the awareness of mortality that we all discover at some point in our lives.

I was an early adopter to 23andMe, a genome sequencing company that takes its name from the 23 pairs of chromosomes in a normal human cell. 23andme sequences your genome, and matches your genetic markers against known markers which are indicators of disease or specific physical attributes.
